Born and raised in South Africa~ I have many interests and
love life in general. I am married to an amazing man, Barry. He brings a depth
and love to my world that I was not sure was possible. We have a small farmette
tucked on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by other farmettes and wonderful
neighbors. Together with 3 puppies, 5
goats (aka: the boys) and 5 chickens (aka: the girls) we stand amazed at how
incredibly blessed we are...
Twenty three years ago I had the privilege of working for John Wieland Homes who at the time was the largest custom home builder in Atlanta. It was an amazing place to work and their determination and focus for providing a good product and even better service left a mark for excellence on my ever-the-entrepreneur heart. Later I would turn toward general real estate brokerage in order to practice all the skills that had been handed to me and this is where I would stay - - - through thick and thin.
During the recession and much loss personally, emotionally and financially I was lovingly given (by my bro-in-law) the book, "Financial Freedom" by Dave Ramsey. I was onto something new or actually it was onto me... The thought of becoming debt free and doing what I enjoyed (real estate) seemed like the best life had to offer and so I jumped in. The material was simple but the heart and mind change were from none other than my Maker - game on!
I knew that this was it - I was made for this! If I could show young people that life is not just about making money and stuff; that doing what you were naturally created to do as a job is where it's at. Making good decisions about education and managing money or borrowing of money were worth the time and effort of much thought and conversation. And then if we borrow money for education how do we pay it off and still have a life? And then when we meet that "special" person how to we do life and debt and investments like real estate? It's possible to be happy and fulfilled and know what feeds the spirit and if the spirit is full we can carefully plan on how the stuff filters in - - - I know, it's a lot but there is hope. Sometimes we just need someone from the outside who is not that far removed to help us figure it out and I love doing that - it's what I'm made for... definitely not perfect; just ready to make the journey with you!
